Group condemns the silence of Mbaise traditional rulers over Nwokocha’s continued detention
A group, ‘Concerned Mbaise Youths’ has condemned in it’s entirety the perceived silence of Mbaise traditional rulers over the continued detention of Eze Leo Nwokocha by the police.
The group asked the traditional rulers not to make the youths to believe that they are not there to protect the interest of Mbaise people let alone when Eze Leo Nwokocha who is their Chairman is involved.
According to the group, it is Eze Leo Nwokocha today and could be any other traditional ruler tomorrow hence they should fight for the release of Eze Nwokocha from the police custody.
“Traditional rulers are respected set of people and I believe the police and governor Hope Uzodinma will listen to them if they sincerely demand the release of Eze Nwokocha.”
The group which accused some traditional rulers of rather engineering the continued detention of Eze Leo Nwokocha, asked them to shun selfish.
It vowed to mention the names of the traditional rulers who are bent on abating outsiders to sabotage the efforts of the people.
