Imo state government announces state-wide clean up exercise

Imo state government has urged all residents to remain indoors to clean up their respective environment this Saturday.
This is as massive monthly clean up exercise has been fully restored to take place every last Saturday of the month.
A statement by the Managing Director Imo state Waste Management Agency, ISWAMA, Barrister Kelechi Emeakaroha revealed that the exercise would take place between 7am and 10am on Saturday.

He explained that an inspection team would be on duty to check the environment for compliance and to ensure effectiveness of the entire clean up exercise.
Barrister Emeakaroha who disclosed that the end of month sanitation was the mandate of the Executive governor of Imo Senator Hope Uzodinma towards ensuring environmental cleanliness in the state, advised residents to bag their waste for effective disposal.
