Owerri Senate: Odiuko kicks off door to door campaign

Filled with passion to change the ugly situation faced by the people of Owerri Senatorial Zone through quality and transparent representation, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Imo East Senatorial District, Barr. Chyma Anthony Odiuko, KSJI, has kicked off door to door campaign.
The Senator hopeful who visited Aboh Mbaise and Owerri West LGAs respectively on Friday, reminded the people of his readiness to change the narratives in the zone, as well as lift the state so that employment of the youth will become a reality, adding that he is going to the Senate to make laws that would put the society back to the right path of peace, prosperity and progress.
Addressing APGA Ward Chairmen from the 12 Electoral Wards in Aboh Mbaise, Odiuko stated that his winning is a winning for all constituents as he would ensure that the people get democracy gains and values with their fundamental rights being protected, saying Nigeria as a nation is blessed with great resources to make his citizens live prosperously, regretting that bad leadership has subjected the people to poverty, insecurity and vulnerability.
He advised the people to be wise and vote in right persons who they can attest of their credibility to fight and defend their cause for the next four years, hinting that as grassroot officers they should work in synergy with him as one big family to cement their structure, beating their challenges and winning the poll outrightly.
Also admonishing his newly inaugurated Coordinators from the 10 INEC Wards in Owerri West, the Senatorial candidate appreciated the leaders for making themselves available to work for his mandate, assuring them of inclusive representation which he stressed would see to their liberation from hardship and pains to living a better, peaceful and happy life.
He disclosed that his representation would focus on healthcare delivery to Owerri people, as he would firstly present a Bill to ban people of Nigeria including their leaders from traveling abroad for medication, positing that quality and well equipped hospitals should be built for all to access, adding that he would push for free medicals for women, especially the pregnant women and old people.
In their separate speeches, the Ward Leaders and Coordinators assured Odiuko of their unalloyed support to deliver him, harping that his mandate is a divine one which needs to become a reality for all to rejoice and have a breath of fresh air in the zone.
In a related development, the people’s choice for Owerri Senate, Odiuko, had paid homage to a noble and respected leader in Owerri West, Navy Commodore Ogechi Osuagwu, Rtd, where he reiterated that his intention to contest for the Senate position is to do things differently in order to achieve positive results for the benefit of all by making sure that laws are implemented and people’s rights adequately protected.
Responding, Commodore Osuagwa congratulated Odiuko for being strong to bear the party’s flag as their Senatorial candidate, praying that God who has started with him would see him through to the end and grant him success.
Observing that politics today is all about individuals not party really, Osuagwu promised Odiuko of his maximum support and to make sure he is delivered, averring that success comes sorely from God Almighty who he believes will give Odiuko victory at the poll.
He said APGA as a party belonging to the Igbo is already an added advantage to Odiuko’s emergence in the forthcoming election.
